After Sony preempted the announcement, official confirmation finally came from Amazon in the last few hours: God of War will be an ambitious TV series produced by Prime Video.
The series will be inspired by the God of War prequel Ragnarok (which you can find on Amazon) and will therefore bring the first beloved adventure of Kratos and Atreus to the small screen. Although we still don’t know who the main characters will be – the “real” Kratos has already applied in this regard, along with Freya and Atreus – the head of Amazon Studios has already had the opportunity to confirm some first big details that promise the series will be very faithful to its video game counterpart.
