MTN has introduced a new data plan that would give all their customers access to 60 minutes videos, movies, comedies, learnings, all the things you love on YouTube for N50 as it’s dubbed #50for60. It means that you get unlimited access to YouTube for an hour for N50 only.
Honestly, MTN only changed the price of their previous YouTube data plans in celebration of Nigeria’s Independence day. What used to have N150 and N400 price tags are now N50 and N130, respectively. Meaning that you get to enjoy 1-hour streaming for N50 and 3-hour streaming for N130 on YouTube.
How to activate MTN YouTube plans
Dial ∗131∗8∗1#, then reply with either 1 or 2 to activate the YouTube plan you would like to go for. The airtime would get deducted from your account, and you will receive a success message telling you that the plan’s activation on your SIM card was successful.
As soon as you’ve activated the plan, you have only 60 minutes or 3 hours to enjoy unlimited access to YouTube. After the 60 minutes or 3 hours elapses, you will have to activate the plan again to enjoy this plan.

I don’t think you can download videos externally using the data only in the YouTube app itself.
