Being a writer just got better, there is a new platform that has been introduced by Opera called Opera News Hub that aims to help writers make more money from writing. Opera launched Opera News Hub sometime last month in Nigeria, a new online media platform where content creators can reach over 350 million people and ever since then, many Nigerians have benefitted from it.
Opera News Hub is similar to Scooper PGC Program that I wrote about some time ago, Scooper PGC Program is still on and accepting more writers but I must say that becoming a writer for Opera News Hub is easier than becoming one for Scooper. In this article, I’m going to brief you on what Opera News Hub is and how you can make money from it.
What is Opera News Hub?
Opera News Hub is an open platform for people to consume, create and share content. Empowered by cutting-edge recommendation algorithms, Opera News Hub helps creators target audience and helps users find the content that matches their interests.
Opera News Hub is a microblogging platform connecting thought leaders and content creators from a wide variety of interest categories with an active audience of over 163 million users rewarding engagement with revenue and exposure. To break down that definition for you, Opera News Hub pays you for the content you create, it’s as easy as that.
How do you make revenue on Opera News Hub?
You get paid in two ways and they are; Fee Per Article & Bonus Per Performance, terms and conditions apply.
- Fee Per Article:- Get paid for every article you write on the Opera News Hub.
- Bonus Per Performance:- Get paid based on the performance of your articles on Opera News Hub.
You don’t have to worry about promoting your articles as Opera will help you do that by putting the article on Opera News. Opera News utilizes an AI-technology-powered recommendation system to help creators distribute their content to a highly targeted audience.
Their algorithm reviews each content before it is published. For higher impressions and clicks, post your creation, and improve the quality of your content. Try to make your content the most current, informative or entertaining, credible and engaging, meanwhile, avoid any grammar or spelling mistakes especially in titles. With more high-quality content, you have a better chance of receiving more impressions and clicks. I suggest you do your research: post content often, keep an eye on your analytics, and understand what content resonates with your audience.
Sometimes, your post can get rejected but you shouldn’t worry about that as every post must first go through the Opera News Review System before it can reach millions of Opera News users. Each post published in Opera News is first examined by machines and human editors against their content standards.
If problems like misleading headlines, vulgar content, advertisements, and low-quality content are identified, the post will either be rejected or it will be flagged for revision by the editors before being published. Posts that have been published on Opera News, if reported by their users, will also be flagged for revision by the editors. Frequent offenders of Opera News’ content policies will have their “Conduct Point” score reduced and may even have their account suspended.
How are my earnings calculated?
Your posts on Opera News Hub will receive payment based on their performance. Many factors affect your posts’ revenue on Opera News Hub, including but not limited to the type and quality of your content. If you can create original, high-quality content with an exciting premise that attracts the interest of users, you will be paid. The better your content, the better your earning potential. You can keep an eye on the performance of your content under the “Content Library” tab on your Opera News Hub dashboard page.
