- It gives you access to key security codes like PUK number to unlock SIM card

- It is easy to use
MTN has been and is still giving out 500MB free data to any MTN subscriber who registers on their app with a number for the first time, the same thing applies here when you wish to get your own free 1GB data from Airtel. How to get 1GB free data on Airtel from My Airtel app
- Download My Airtel for your Android (6.6 MB), install and launch the app (Ensure that the phone that has My Airtel app has the Airtel SIM card, you will find out why it is important for the SIM card to be in the phone very soon).
- You will get to a page where you would be asked to type in your Airtel number, type in the Airtel number that’s in the device you’re using to register, wait for some seconds to receive an OTP code from Airtel and you will receive it. You do not need to bother about typing it down in a space box as it will pass through the auto-verification process by itself in the app. This is why it is necessary for the number you wish to receive the free data with has to be active on the same device you’re trying to register with.
- When it passes the auto-verification process, you would be logged into the app now wait for some seconds and you will receive a text message from Airtel that should read;
Congratulations, you have been credited with Free Airtel App Download data bonus.
After receiving this message, dial *140# to view your data balance. The data should be valid for 7 days. If you fail to get your own 1GB free data after registering on the app, kindly wait for some minutes as some people’s data take time to get to their Airtel SIM cards.

My otp hasn’t been verified saying it can’t connect to server
It all has to do with the traffic on the app wait for a while then try again

Ok noted! I must let you know that the Airtel app auto-verifies that the SIM is active on the device by itself and you don’t need to type in the OTP code sent to your Airtel SIM card, if it’s telling you that it can’t verify, wait a little longer and try again on the app, thank you

Sorry sir but I hate to prove you wrong about nobody getting the data. I personally did it for someone two days ago and he received the data the next day, I just think it’s a matter of time before the data gets to your SIM card after successfully logging into the app

My advise to airtel customers is they stop wasting they time on this app i just uninstalled you wasre your data and your time, you can receive otp but you cannot be verified

You don’t need to take any action from your end after the app you logs you in, the only action you need to take is to check your data balance to see if you’ve been given the data
