Data for Society, researchers at the University of Chicago is currently rewarding citizens living in Kenya or Nigeria with free airtime to help complete a survey.
Readers of this blog who participated in the Virtual Lab survey would find this one easy to complete and get their airtime. Your participation in the survey does not involve any risk to you beyond your everyday life, and your name and phone number will be stored in their database to re-contact you in the future.
What’s most important to us here is getting free airtime from this survey. You won’t get anything more/less than 84 KES/307 NGN worth of airtime on any network. Follow these steps to claim your free airtime:
- Create or Log in to your Facebook account if you have one and search for ‘Data for Society’ or click here to go directly to the page.
- Tap the message button and send ‘Get Started’ to start a conversation with the chatbot. Read through the information sent by the chatbot, reply with ‘Yes’ to confirm that you have read the above messages and answer 7 questions to see if you are eligible for the full survey.
- After answering these questions correctly and qualifying for the survey, you will receive a reply from the chatbot in 24 hours where you need to complete the survey and get the airtime.
They claim the survey takes about 20 minutes, I may be wrong but it took longer for me, it might not be the same for you. Finally, you will receive the airtime sent to your phone number within two (2) days after completing the survey.
You can accumulate the airtime gotten from Data for Society, all you need to do is to complete the survey using different Facebook accounts.
