How to save photos in JPG format on iPhone

by Johnson Daniel

iPhone switched its default camera format for photos and videos with the release of its iOS 11, changing it from JPG to HEIC. The major reason why Apple made this little change was to save up some space on your device.

HEIC saves quality photos in smaller sizes as compared to JPG, this is good but transferring photos and videos from your iOS device to your laptop is a waste of time because you won’t be able to view the files, they’re not in a format that laptops support. However, you can use third-party apps to view these files on your PC.

There are different image converters out there that you can use to convert HEIC images/videos to JPG format, unfortunately, it can be time-consuming and tiring sometimes. Not to worry, you have the option to save these files on your iPhone device in JPG format. How? Let’s find out!
