Infinix Mobility has just rolled the ‘Extended RAM’ feature to its Note 11 series. The Note 11 series – Infinix Note 11s, Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro+ was launched some months back, the company is pushing this update a few months after its launch.
This Extended RAM feature already seen on Xiaomi devices allows devices to convert part of the device storage to virtual RAM. This is useful when you want to do memory-hungry tasks. As per the company, the extended RAM feature offers a 60% increase in the startup speeds of apps. Where earlier only 9 apps would able to stay in memory, now a total of 20 apps can run simultaneously
Infinix has added up to 3GB of extended RAM support to the phones, however, the 4GB and 6GB variants get only 1GB of extended RAM. The maxed-out 8GB RAM model, on the other hand, gets 3GB of extended RAM support. You need to update your Android OS on your Infinix Note 11 device before you can gain access to this feature.
You can update your device by going to the Phone’s Settings > About Phone > Update. There’s no word on when this feature would roll out for other Infinix users.
