Instagram now allows users access profiles by scanning QR codes

by Johnson Daniel

Instagram is introducing the QR codes to its app, and with the help of this feature, users can open profiles on Instagram by scanning with any supporting third-party app.

Instagram introduced a Nametag feature in 2018 similar to this, but the Instagram in-app camera is the only tool is compatible to use this feature. The QR codes feature making it easier for all Instagram users to get someone on their profile with other apps, not only using the Instagram in-app camera. This feature is not entirely new to the app as it was first launched in Japan last year.

How to generate your QR code on Instagram

Launch your Instagram app, go to the menu on your profile, and tap QR code to get it. You will see something similar to the nametag we talked about, but don’t worry, Instagram is phasing that out, and it will change to QR code soon.

Business accounts can now have customers access their accounts and find out vital information about that particular Instagram business account.
