MTN Nigeria has unveiled yet another offer tagged Garabasa aimed at providing customers with enough airtime to make calls, browse, send SMS and make international calls to five (5) destinations; Canada, India, Malaysia, USA, and China.

What is MTN Garabasa

MTN Garabasa is an offer available to both prepaid and postpaid customers that rewards customers with a 1000% airtime bonus on every recharge from ₦100 & above or 700% on every recharge between ₦1 & ₦99 when they recharge using a special code, ∗800∗PIN#. The airtime in the Garabasa account will be valid for 14 days or 30 days depending on the recharge value and after expiry, all unused bonuses will be cleared from the Garabasa account.

• If you recharge with ₦100, you will get a total of ₦1000 in your Garabasa account, where ₦800 (i.e. ₦700 + ₦100 recharge value) will be credited in Garabasa airtime account and ₦200 into Garabasa data.
• If you recharge with ₦90, you will get a total of ₦630, where ₦540 (i.e. ₦700 + ₦100 recharge value) will be credited in Garabasa airtime and ₦90 into the Garabasa data account.

How to activate the Garabasa offer

There are certain channels you need to use before you can activate this offer. The eligible channels are:

• ∗800∗PIN#
• MTN TopIt
• MTN On Demand (MOD)
• myMTN App & Web
• ChatBot

Using the regular ∗555∗PIN# won’t activate the offer. You can check your Garabasa account balance using any of the following channels:

• USSD Channel: *556#
• MTN Topit
• MTN On-Demand (MOD)
• myMTN App & Web
• MTN ChatBot

You can’t subscribe to any service (data bundle, MTN Back up, CallerTunez, MTN Play, VAS etc) using your Garabasa account and you won’t be able to activate the offer if you get airtime onto your SIM using MTN Share.
