MTN Nigeria has partnered with Amazon’s global streaming service, Prime Video, to provide its customers with Prime Video Mobile Edition – a single-device, mobile-only subscription.
MTN customers who subscribe to Prime Video Mobile Edition will have access to the full catalogue of 9,000+ movies and 1,500+ TV shows in standard definition, as well as an affordable and dedicated data package for streaming and downloading.
The collaboration of I Cell Communications, Vector, and the Mondia Group enabled MTN to offer Prime Video Mobile Edition to its customers.
MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest telecommunications company, is the first to offer Prime Video Mobile Edition to its customers.
Subscribers will receive a 30-day free trial with 2.5GB of Video Data, available only through the Prime Video app. Following the free trial, they can subscribe to Prime Video Mobile Edition for N800 per month with their airtime.
Customers can then subscribe using their airtime for as little as N2,300 per month. A Prime Video subscription grants subscribers access to the vast catalogue across TV, mobile, and tablet devices, allowing them to stream and download in high definition on up to three devices at the same time.
To be eligible for a free trial or a bundle, add-on, or promotional offer for an Amazon service via MTN Nigeria Plc., you must: (a) be a current MTN Nigeria Plc. customer; and (b) subscribe to or enter into a contract for Amazon Prime Video Service. You are not eligible for these Amazon subscriptions if you are an existing Amazon subscriber to the applicable Amazon service or a business customer.
How to get started:
- Log in to your MTN Play account.
- Select “Amazon” offer: Select either a Prime Video Mobile Edition or a Prime Video subscription.
- Publish your offer on Amazon.com: When you are eligible, go to Amazon.com and follow the steps to successfully activate Amazon Offer.
- Install the Prime Video App: Enjoy Amazon Originals as well as popular movies and television shows.
After you sign up for a free trial, bundle, add-on or promotional offer for an Amazon service through MTN Nigeria Plc., you will get an email or SMS text with a link to activate your subscription. You will have 30 days from the date your activation email or text is sent to you to activate the offer or promotion. After 30 days, the activation link will expire. The link will direct you to sign up for your Amazon Prime Video Service with MTN Nigeria Plc. and accept the applicable terms and conditions for your select plan. The link will also redirect you to the Amazon website to log in or set up your Amazon account.
If you have subscribed to the Amazon Prime Video Service, MTN Nigeria Plc will pay your subscription fees for the first month if you have PV Mobile edition (PVME) or the first three months if you have PV (Mobile + TV). During any 12 months, you may not use more than one (1) free trial offer. Amazon’s standard monthly subscription fee is currently N800 for PVME and N2,300 for PV (ME + TV).
If you wish to continue using the Amazon service after the free trial period of one month for PV Mobile edition (PVME) or three months for PV (Mobile + TV), the standard Amazon subscription charges will apply. MTN Nigeria Plc. will charge you a monthly subscription fee of NGN 5,000. MTN Nigeria Plc. will charge you a monthly subscription fee of N800 per month for PVME or N2,300 for PV (ME + TV) as part of your monthly bill beginning on the second month if PV Mobile edition (PVME) or the fourth month if PV (Mobile + TV) and every subsequent month thereafter for the Amazon Prime Video Service unless and until you cancel your subscription to the Amazon Prime Video Service.
If you received a bundle, add-on, or promotional offer, MTN Nigeria Plc. will charge you a monthly subscription fee for the Amazon Prime Video Service of N800 per month for PVME or N2,300 for PV (ME + TV) as part of your monthly bill unless and until you cancel your subscription to the Amazon service. MTN Nigeria Plc’s standard payment terms will apply.
How to cancel Amazon Prime Video service subscription
Your Amazon subscription will remain active until you cancel it. You can cancel your Amazon subscription at any time by using the myMTN App or Web self-service portal, or by dialling *447# via USSD.
MTN Nigeria Plc. reserves the right to revoke your Amazon subscription at any time and without notice if they suspect you of engaging in fraudulent activity, misusing your subscription, or violating these terms or any applicable law. In the event of revocation, there will be no fee refund.
