Still using feedburner to send email to your viewers might be a good choice since it doesn’t cost you a penny for using feedburner. Hope you know that by default, your email subscribers receive email of your blog posts with the article written in full giving them the opportunity of reading the blog post straight from that mail.
This can indirectly lead to loss of pageviews but not to worry, we can all get that fixed as soon as possible. Offering your subscribers summary of your latest blog post does not seem like a bad idea, after all you took time to write down the article, so why don’t they at least read the article straight from your blog.
Feedburner gives you the option to send a summary of your latest blog post to your email subscribers using the Summary Burner feature. As the name implies, the “Summary Burner” simply allows Feedburner users to offer a short summary of their content and direct subscribers to their websites for the rest of the story.
Sometimes you just want to be a tease. Feedburner also offer a short summary of your hyperlink-free content and direct your subscribers to your Web site for the rest of the story. You can also append an optional “Teaser” message to each content item. If you are subscribed to Qualytech’s feed via mail, you should have noticed what I’m talking about.
How to activate feedburner summary burner
- Go to your feedburner account and sign in.
- Click on the Optimize tab.
- Scroll all the way down and tap on Summary Burner.

You can decide to adjust the maximum length of the summary and also set your own teaser, but if you leave it like that, the default teaser would be used in your forthcoming mails to your subscribers.
