Happy new year folks, there has been a problem every eFootball PES gameplayer that I’ve contacted or have contacted me have been facing with the mobile game, and that has to do with the ‘Friend List Match’ if I’m not mistaken. If you’ve ever tried to play online multiplayer with your friend before now, I’m a bit certain that you would have found it very difficult to play with that your friend or family member.
Each time you’ve tried to play against a friend on eFootball PES 2020 via the ‘Friend List Match,’ you should have gotten a pop-up error after it checks for connection status between both parties (You & friend); Unable to establish a connection with an opponent. Switching between WiFi and LTE may fix this problem.
Thankfully, I have a fix for you today, and after reading this article, you will be able to play against anybody anywhere. This tutorial works on both iOS and Android devices, so you don’t have to worry about having an iOS device because iOS users always seem to give up on things like this.
How to fix unable to establish a connection with an opponent problem on eFootball PES 2020
- Download UFO VPN Basic: Free VPN Proxy Master & Secure WiFi to your Android device from Google Playstore. For the iOS users, download VPN – UFO VPN Hotspot to your iOS device from the Apple store.
- After the download is complete, launch the app. Don’t subscribe to any premium plan. Close any window that directs you to purchase a plan. This action should take to the main page of the app. Don’t do anything. Click connect.
- Launch the PES 2020 game, navigate to Match > Friend Match > Friend List Match, then try connecting playing with that your friend, and you won’t encounter any problem this time.
Sometimes while trying to connect with a friend, you might get an error message that reads, “Unable to connect to the opponent.” Don’t panic. All you need to do is to go back and try connecting again with your friend.
How to play online multiplayer on PES 2020
First of all, you need to have the Konami ID of a friend. For example, here’s my Konami ID – 973713257. You can locate your own Konami ID by navigating to Extras > User Information > User Details > Owner ID. There, you will find your Konami ID. Now before you can be able to play online multiplayer on the PES 2020, you need to have the individual that you wish to play against as a friend on the game.
To do so, navigate to Extras > User Information > Owner Search > Enter Owner ID. After filling the space for owner ID, hit the Search button at the bottom hand corner. If the ID is correct, then you can send the person a request and ask him to accept the request.
To accept the request, go to Extras > > User Information > Friend Request. Here, you will find out whether you have a friend request or not. If you do, accept the friend request. As soon as both of you become friends, you can now play the multiplayer by navigating to Match > Friend Match > Friend List Match > Tap your friend’s name while he does the same.
Remember that one and not necessarily both of you need to be connected to the VPN network for the multiplayer to work. If you didn’t understand this tutorial and it didn’t work for you, I advise you to watch the video above. If the reverse is the case and you can now play online multiplayer on eFootball PES 2020, why don’t you take a moment of your time and share this with your friends? We appreciate.
