WhatsApp continues to test new features to help improve its users’ experience. The latest feature currently undergoing testing lets group admins delete messages of members in a group.
According to reports from WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a new feature for Android beta version 2.22.1.1. This feature will let group admins delete messages even if they are from other group members. This means that the admin of any WhatsApp group can delete any message if they are required to do so.

“The good news is that WhatsApp is finally updating the process to delete messages, and groups admins will be able to delete any message sent in the group. Thanks to this feature, groups admins will also have more power to moderate WhatsApp groups, in a future update,” the report said.
This feature is not confirmed for WhatsApp beta users as it is not certain if this feature will ever roll out on the WhatsApp messenger.
In addition to this, WhatsApp is still working on extending the message deletion time to 7 days and 8 minutes and is also testing a new privacy feature, which will refrain unknown people from looking at users Last Seen or Status Updates. This will restrict third-party apps from keeping an eye on users’ activities.
