The developers behind WhatsApp are currently testing a new feature that would allow users to contact Whatsapp support directly from the app.
WABetaInfo spotted the new feature on version 22.2.72 for iOS and version 2.22.3.5 for Android and is currently available for beta versions of the app. To use the in-app support feature, you need to open Whatsapp > Settings > Help > Contact us. It will show you a message to beta testers of both platforms, “We will respond to you in a WhatsApp chat.”
According to WABetaInfo, Whatsapp will contact users through its verified account and the chat support feature will send technical and diagnostic information like model number and settings of the device on which Whatsapp is used. These details will be used to find out the issue and fix it with Whatsapp.
This feature was spotted on WhatsApp earlier in March 2021 but was discontinued. Hopefully, this feature might roll out to everyone in the future.
